Fascination Event – Stichting Marketing Gent

I’m currently a member of Stichting Marketing Ghent (SMG), this is a division of Stichting Marketing.
Stichting Marketing is a professional voluntary organization with more then 1500 members in Belgium.
They organize annual congresses as wel in Dutch as in French. It has regional divisions like the one I am member of. Students are responsible for these divisions. This means that they organize by themself a theme evening.

At least once a year, Stichting Marketing Gent organizes a theme evening with hot Marketing Subjects.

In april 2006 there was the launch evening of SMG @ Culture Club Ghent.
There were speakers from Coke, Mini, JimTV, Demonstr8 & CC.

Our second event was in December 2006, the fascination of brand management.
The speakers were:

  • Helen Willems from Nivea (nominee marketeer of the year 2006)
  • Christ’l De Jonghe & Sibel Debackere from Ketnet (dual presentation)

This event was a hughe succes! With this event we wanted to reach 100 visitors, but is was an enormous succes, there were 134 people present.
Each person received 2 free drinks and a funky giftbag with more than 15 gadgets/samples!

traineeship

The last part of my education at Hogeschool Gent, is a traineeship.
I will have my training period during 3 months at Markee, a communications agency.
I’m really looking forward to this period. During this time I’ll write a paper, but I don’t know the subject yet.
I’ll keep you posted!
